This simple bag is made beautiful with a simple doily!  Instead of a staple to close the bag think about punching two holes and weaving ribbon through to tie into a bow.

While on my lovely day trip to D.C. we drove by the Cherry Blossom festival.  For as long as I've lived in Maryland I've only been to the festival once, and when we were driving by I knew why.  The line to park your car was a least a mile long...so instead A drove, while I shot photos out the window.

A beautiful weekend...

I was so excited when on Thursday my boyfriend told me we were going to see Jane Eyre this weekend.

We went to E Street Cinemas in D.C. an independent theater that I absolutely love (they serve cappuccinos and beer).  If you haven't heard anything about Jane Eyre, you're missing out...but not to worry you still have time to catch up...

I have to admit I'm a huge Jane Austen fan, and thought that Jane Eyre couldn't be as good as my Elizabeth Bennet, and Emma...but man was I wrong.  The story is so breathtakingly wonderful that I wished I could go back in time for a short while...sigh.

Lucky...

Being that I have a tiny part Irish in me (note the freckles all over my face), I'm always excited when St. Patricks day arrives because that means Corn Beef and Cabbage for dinner! This American St.Patties day favorite is delicious with some sauteed cabbage.

Flower Rings...

I can feel the temperature slowly get warmer, hear the birds sing a little louder and see the flowers starting to bloom...all these signs mean Spring isn't that far away.  To celebrate the approach of summer will be introducing our ceramic flower rings....

Each ring is hand made from clay then dyed and fired.  We wrapped each button with sterling silver wire.

I love clutches and wish I had more occasions to wear my vast collection...one day.  While browsing around I found this cool DIY clutch design that I thought would be fun to try...

What you'll need: hard sun glass case, a drawer pull, a wrench, a bolt cutter, a drill and a drill bit.  (I'll probably use an vintage minaudiere found on either ebay or from my own collection).

It will be a lazy weekend since we're saving up for a trip next fall (Disney World).  I've decided I wanted to test my cooking skills and here are a few ideas that I have planned for the menu...
